Golden Treasures
Rescue (GTR) is an all-volunteer
rescue, providing veterinary care, foster homes and permanent
new homes for golden retrievers in the Ohio area. We rescue Golden
Retrievers wherever we find them
- Owners of Golden Retrievers
sometimes have to surrender their dogs because of health, moving,
or work schedule. We help find your dog a new home where he
will be loved and nurtured.
- Golden Retrievers abandoned
or taken to shelters need special attention, and Golden Treasures
Rescue will help with medical treatment and resocialization
of each dog into a new home.
Our adoption fee rarely covers
the cost of rescuing these wonderful dogs. We may take in a dog
that is already spayed/neutered, but the next one that comes in
may be heartworm positive. GT relies on donations, fundraising
activities and grants for its income. We do not receive any state
or federal funds. And, because GT is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization,
all donations are tax deductible.

Harvey
Originating
from a shelter, we've picked up on a couple things that
indicate he may have had some harsh treatment. Nonetheless,
Harvey is a happy, friendly boy who will do well in an all-adult
home. He's about 5 years old, a little bit of a mix, but
he's very friendly and does fine with other dogs (cats are
an unknown).

UPDATE
Golden Treasures has
been lucky enough to receive a second grant in the amount
of $700, from Golden Rescue In Naples, Inc. (GRINinc.)
to be used for the medical expenses of our dog, Maverick.
GRINinc. has been focusing their efforts
on extending grants to help senior and special needs goldens.
Thanks again to them for helping us!!
