In increasing numbers, Golden Treasures
is rescuing goldens with extraordinary medical issues. We never
turn these dogs down, regardless of what our checking account
says. In order to continue saving all dogs coming our way, we're
instituting a new program which gives people an opportunity to
help in two ways: First, by donating to our Godparent program,
you'll be helping Golden Treasures pay for some whopping vet bills.
Second, with those bills being paid, we're able to concentrate
on helping more dogs.
As a Golden Godparent, you will be recognized
as a donor on our website and will be able to keep abreast of
the recovery of your goddog (is that a word?) A personal thank
you will be sent by the dog you sponsor.
If you can find it in your heart to open
up your pocketbook just one more time, read about our most recent
candidate. You can send your donation (be sure to indicate which
dog is to receive the donation) to

Rusty
- OK, he's a bit of a mix. But he has what we're looking
for--the golden personaltiy and temperament. Looks are just
skin deep, after all. Rusty is only 6 months old. If you'll
notice, he's holding up his leg in this picture. That's
because it was broken. But, he's had surgery, has been through
his rehab and is now ready to go, go, go! His medical expenses
for the leg were more than we had budgeted for, so if you're
so inclined, become one of his "golden godparents."
Thanks to these
Golden Godparents for Rusty

Sami
She's as sweet as can be,
this little girl. Between 2-3 years, we found herwaiting
for us at a shelter. How she knew we'd be there we'll never
know! Anyway, she has completed her treatment for heartworm,
with a clean bill of health. It appeared as if she had suffered
an old fracture to her right front leg, but she's been to
the orthopedic specialist and she's now good to go. If you
need someone to carry things around your house--shoes, old
socks, balls--Sami's your girl. She loves to tote stuff.
