Be a Golden God Parent

In increasing numbers, Golden Treasures is rescuing goldens with extraordinary medical issues. We never turn these dogs down, regardless of what our checking account says. In order to continue saving all dogs coming our way, we're instituting a new program which gives people an opportunity to help in two ways: First, by donating to our Godparent program, you'll be helping Golden Treasures pay for some whopping vet bills. Second, with those bills being paid, we're able to concentrate on helping more dogs.

As a Golden Godparent, you will be recognized as a donor on our website and will be able to keep abreast of the recovery of your goddog (is that a word?) A personal thank you will be sent by the dog you sponsor.

If you can find it in your heart to open up your pocketbook just one more time, read about our most recent candidate. You can send your donation (be sure to indicate which dog is to receive the donation) to Golden Treasures, P.O. Box 434, Bath, Ohio 44210, or click on the Make A Donation button below to use Paypal , if that's more convenient.

And once again, Golden Treasures thanks you for all you've done to help these wonderful dogs.

Spence

This little guy has had a tough start in life. Found on the side of the road, he was brought in to the emergency vet. They found his leg is broken, but not to worry. He'll be incapacitated to some extent for about 2-4 weeks and then he'll be good as new, if not better! Better because by then, we'll have found him a new, loving home where they'll know where he is at all times. We're guessing him to be about 3 months old and, because he's a little guy, may be a bit of a mix. Please give him a home for the holidays.

Henry

This senior fella was pulled from a shelter just in the nick of time. We're estimating his age to be about 10+. He wasn't feeling very well when we got him, so off to the vet we went. He has been diagnosed with renal insufficiency. And to make matters worse, he's heartworm positive. He can’t be treated for HW because of his bigger problems of cancer and renal issues but will be kept on interceptor to prevent further reproduction of more heartworms. The other problem will take constant monitoring and medication. We have found him a permanent foster home, which means we'll be responsible for his medical expenses for the rest of his life. Despite his medical problems, he was the star of our annual fundraising dinner/auction, working the crowd, smiling at everyone, just hangin' out. He's a great dog who deserves the best of care.
