Golden Treasures
Rescue (GTR) is an all-volunteer
rescue, providing veterinary care, foster homes and permanent
new homes for golden retrievers in the Ohio area. We rescue Golden
Retrievers wherever we find them
- Owners of Golden Retrievers
sometimes have to surrender their dogs because of health, moving,
or work schedule. We help find your dog a new home where he
will be loved and nurtured.
- Golden Retrievers abandoned
or taken to shelters need special attention, and Golden Treasures
Rescue will help with medical treatment and resocialization
of each dog into a new home.
Our adoption fee rarely covers
the cost of rescuing these wonderful dogs. We may take in a dog
that is already spayed/neutered, but the next one that comes in
may be heartworm positive. GT relies on donations, fundraising
activities and grants for its income. We do not receive any state
or federal funds. And, because GT is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization,
all donations are tax deductible.

Duke
and Brea
This 7-month-old brother and sister are
facing life as bravely as they can. Because of an eye infection,
Duke is almost completely blind and Brea is totally blind.
As we observe these two, we see that Brea depends on Duke
to help her navigate through her days. So, we'd like to
keep them together. Obviously, this pair needs a very special,
dedicated family to help them. Blind dogs often do very
well, with a few tweeks to the household, and we expect
that once these two are over the stress of being rehomed,
they'll settle in to enjoy their new lives. A fence is a
must for them. Are you up for the challenge?
